NEMA 1 - The term "NEMA 1" refers to phase converters that are primarely intended for indoor use and provide a degree of protection against limited amounts of falling dirt.
NEMA 3R - The term "NEMA 3R" refers to phase converters that are primarely intended for outdoor use and provide a degree of protection against rain, sleet and damage from external ice formation.
Load (amps) - The term "Load (amps)" refers to the maximum continuous circuit ampacity based on specifications given by the manufacturer of your equipment. An example would be that your equipment is intended to run on a 40amp circuit from the supply panel, in this case you would want a phase converter that is rated for at least 40amps.
Load range (kW) The term "Load range (kW)" refers to the maximum continuous circuit kW rating based on specifications given by the manufacturer of your equipment. An example would be that your equipment is intended to run at 10kW maximum, in this case you would want a phase converter that is rated for at least 10kW.
Sometimes the kW rating and the maximum amperage rating of a are not comparable.
Example: A machine is rated at 18kW and 40amps max. continuous (18kW is equal to approximately 55amps @ 240v 3 phase). In this situation you would use the higher of the two. This being 55 amps you would choose a minimum of a phase converter capable of handling 55 amps. For this scenario it would be the TEMRS7000-36 capable of an output of 18kW and 62 amps.
With this type of phase converter, it is very important to have proper sizing.
Some imported machines have a transformer on the input to allow use in areas with different voltages. This transformer can constitute an inductive load in itself and needs to be taken into consideration when sizing a phase converter.
